The Sutherland Group
Sutherland, known for bringing a fresh point of view to furniture
design, is all about refined furniture for casual contemporary living.
Founder David Sutherland's passion and style drive the innovative,
sophisticated collection. With generous, welcoming proportions, the
craftsmanship and detail of each piece reflects genuine quality.
Sutherland
Furniture is a relatively small but high end furniture companybased in
Dallas, with their International Sales offices in New York.
Specializing in classic inspired teak designs requiring only a simple
schedule of maintenance for a life time of enjoyment while providing
comfort to achieve casual elegance. In addition, since most of the
furniture requires cushions, Sutherland offer, through their sister
company Perennials Fabrics, a beautiful range of colors and patterns
which you might find suitable to complement your furniture selection.
Outdoor
Sutherland Outdoor has transformed outdoor furniture from the
mundane to the sublime, inspiring designers to re-think the
out-of-doors as a continuum of their stylish interiors. Classic,
inspired teak designs require only a simple schedule of maintenance for
a lifetime of enjoyment. This indomitable material, composed of
water-repellent oil and silicate, is perfect for outdoor durability.
Indoor Casual
Sutherland's Indoor Casual furniture reflects a clear
understanding of the modern lifestyle. Homes have evolved into spaces
where people seek refuge from the hectic, uncertain outside world,
express their creativity, nurture their souls and focus on friends and
family.
John Hutton
John Hutton has been instrumental in Sutherland's design aesthetic
from its inception. Hutton combines contemporary flair with a classical
foundation producing truly original designs. His unique perspective is
grounded in commitment to designing for individuals rather than the
market or himself. Hutton's designs reflect this philosophy in their
unsurpassed quality, elegant simplicity and ultimate comfort.
Bill Goldsmith
Bill Goldsmith has used a whimsical, yet classical approach to his
Designs for Sutherland Outdoor. Goldsmith's furniture designs draw from
a colourful, broad base of design experience.
Terry Hunziker
Terry Hunziker is known for his warm minimalism. His furniture
design is guided by an overall sensibility of serenity. Hunziker's
designs for Sutherland complement modern architectural structures;
however, their simplicity allows them to blend with many other styles.
Berman Rosetti
Nick Berman and Gennaro Rosetti's collaboration is a successful
melding of designer/architect and craftsman. Simplicity and quality are
the hallmarks of their collaboration and the Catalina Collection for
Sutherland is emblematic of their success.
Finishing teak wood produces very nice results.
All the finished Sutherland pieces are made in their premises in
Dallas. The quality control is therefore of the highest standard. There
are two main categories of finishes: OUTDOOR and INDOOR.

Shinto Cloth
Shinto Cloth debuts with six new woven textures and patterns,

rich chocolate brown that, when combined with the red, indigo, jade or
neutral shades, creates a truly sophisticated look.
The Villa Collection
Inspired by Italian landscapes, seven sophisticated colour ways
combine old and new, evoking the warm colours of the villas for which
they were named. This collection also includes trimming (tiny cord) in
16 colour ways.

traditional styles, the collection suggests a young, fresh and
enthusiastic way of seeing the world. Perennials once again is leading
the industry with a fresh, inspired look.
John Hutton Textiles
John Hutton brought a unique viewpoint to textile design gleaned from his venerable
furniture design career. Foremost was his passion for creating comfort followed
by his dedication to proportion, crisp, clean lines and casual elegance. Every
fabric meets his strenuous design criteria consisting of a high quality to
value quotient, a sensuous hand, structural integrity, visual maneuverability
and lasting beauty.
John Hutton Textiles collection reflects a clear understanding of the modern lifestyle.
Homes have evolved beyond mere shelters into spaces where people seek refuge from
the hectic, uncertain outside world, express their creativity, nurture their souls
and focus on friends and family. These sturdy, practical textiles are enduring,

to living well—from resorts to jewels, theatre to cocktails—and encourage
refinement in every aspect of homelife.
